Golden Hour
by Mellodora
White-tufted Grebe swimming on a pond after sunrise. The White-tufted Grebe (Rollandia Rolland) is a small grebe native to South America. This species lives in wetlands habitats, including marshy ponds, temporary pools and slow flowing rivers. Its diet is mainly composed of fish and arthropods. It is the only grebe that has a tuft of white feathers on its head, which is otherwise entirely black. Technique: Photograph taken from a floating hide. Special edition for #TunaTime event.
