Year of the Horse
by Nokturnal
The Escapist Nightmare She keeps running, even when nothing is chasing her anymore. The Horse is the nightmare of avoidance — the instinct to flee feelings before they can catch up. Movement becomes a disguise for fear, and speed replaces stillness, because stopping would mean facing what was left behind. This piece represents the kind of escape that looks like freedom, but is actually exhaustion in motion.
