Heavy Threads

When I was drawing this, I was thinking about a feeling we often experience the feeling that part of us is no longer fully under our control. As if we’re constantly being pulled; always caught between our own desires and the pull of other people’s judgments, words, and interference. These threads have stayed for so long that they’ve become part of us. We always think cutting them is possible with a simple decision, but if only letting go were that easy… if only it were possible to just pick up scissors for a moment and cut every single thread.
