Mizuki

I’m Mahshid, but you’ll probably know me as Mizuki. 🌙 I’m an illustrator, digital painting artist, and storyboard artist with a degree in Animation. My journey started with storytelling through animation, where I had the opportunity to work as a storyboard artist on a number of children’s and young adult animation projects. Turning scripts into visual sequences and helping bring stories to life taught me a lot about composition, visual storytelling, and the way images can communicate emotions without words. But my love for drawing and painting had been with me since childhood, and over time, that part of me started calling louder. I found myself wanting to spend more time creating my own worlds, characters, and visual stories. Eventually, I made the decision to shift my creative path toward illustration and digital painting — a change that slowly led me to discover my place in Web3. I originally joined Web3 because I wanted to share my art with more people and let my work reach beyond the circles I already knew. What I found along the way was much more than that. I discovered an incredibly diverse creative community, met wonderful people, made genuine friendships, and found a space where I could grow while sharing my voice as an artist. At the heart of my work are light, awareness, hope, and healing. I’m especially drawn to the strength that can come from difficult experiences — the kind of strength that changes us rather than simply breaking us. I try to carry those ideas into the worlds I create, whether through a character, a quiet moment, or an entire story. I don’t want my work to be something that is only beautiful to look at. I want there to be something underneath it — a feeling, a thought, a story, or a small piece of hope. More than anything, I want my art to feel like a place people can connect with, find comfort in, and maybe even feel a little less alone. I’m still discovering where this path will take me, but for now, I’m happy to keep creating, learning, and building the worlds I’ve always wanted to see. 🌙
