The body remembers

The body remembers

by Merin Miller

This work explores the female body as a living archive of memory, lineage, and presence. The spine becomes a luminous strand of inherited code—carrying stories, trauma, love, and knowledge across generations. Violet emerges as a symbolic frequency of continuity and permanence, echoing the idea of inscription and what it means to exist beyond time. By visualizing DNA as a glowing inscription along the body, I reflect on authorship written into flesh and the invisible narratives women carry within them. Digital hand drawing. Procreate app.
