Silent Rain

Rain Rain does not always begin in the sky. Sometimes, it comes from somewhere deeper— from a memory that is still wet, from a sorrow that has never found a way to be heard, from a heart that has learned to rain in silence. In this image, the hand is more than just a hand. Its movement forms the sign for “rain” in sign language— a gesture that speaks a word to the world without making a sound. Perhaps the most beautiful languages are not always heard. Sometimes, a movement, a glance, or the silence between two breaths is all it takes to speak an entire universe. Rain is much the same. It speaks without a voice, rests upon the skin of the earth, and touches the things that words could never reach.
