Bahram The Zebra
by SajiFall
Bahram was an influential king in ancient Iran during the Sassanian dynasty. known for his prowess in hunting zebra and his fierce warrior nature, his name has been mentioned in many poems as Bahram the Zebra! "Omar Khayyam, the poet, mathematician and philosopher of the 11th century AD. His poems were translated into English by Edward Fitzgerald and introduced the world to his universe. This artwork is inspired by one of his famous quatrains: 'Bahram, who spent his entire life hunting zebra, has now become the prey of the grave.' It emphasizes his hunting skills and his reputation as a formidable warrior. Today, as I created this piece, the world is struggling with wars and conflicts in which many countries are directly or indirectly involved. The chessboard symbolizes political games, where soldiers and ordinary people lose their lives on the battlefield, while politicians seem to be spectators, thinking they are safe. However, one day, they themselves become the prey of death. Here's to a world without war and conflict!
