07. Pholcus phalangioides
I found this cellar spider inside the access chamber for my home's water shut-off valve, just before starting some plumbing work. What caught my attention was not the spider itself, but the delicate egg sac she carried beneath her body. Before disturbing her refuge, I paused to make this portrait. Once the photographs were taken, she was left to return to her quiet corner. The overlooked often lives closest to home.
