Tears of the sun

by Aebeeh

A man fishing in a river right before the sun disappears. Fishing is one of the common business's of people from northern nigeria. Most lakes and Rivers are frequented by people who come from far and near villages to catch fill and sell to make a living. As the photographer who shot this I was attracted to the sun set which was casting a reflection and also how ambitious the Fisher man we can see in the river is. He was all focused trying to set his net for the next fish. His fishing instruments, position in the water and sun all appeared poetic in my eyes.... The title "tears of the sun" is inspired by the reflection of the sun we can see on the water... This long colorful light is what I describe as a tear.. because just like a tear the light too is dropping.
