A Moment Without End

A Moment Without End

by Ainaliora

I dreamt I was lying on the surface of the ocean, arms spread wide, gently rocking with the waves. And I could feel myself sinking. Slowly So slowly that I could stay inside that moment — the thin boundary between air and water, between sound and a silence so deep it felt overwhelming. A moment of existing in two worlds at once. Slowly I was descending, leaving somewhere far above all the noise, all the restless movement of the world I knew. Slowly My anxious thoughts, my fear, that ache I had grown used to — companions of the past years — were letting go of me. And what remained was silence. Outside. And within. A stillness so complete it became a moment without end /acrylic, pencil on paper/
