Targeting Hope

They marked the ones who stood. Logged the faces, traced the voices, pressed them into records No one asked to leave. The red line finds its target. It always does. Hope is inconvenient. It gathers, it moves, it refuses to dissolve quietly into the dark. So they map it. Name it. File it. Point at it and call it a threat. But you cannot print a person flat without them knowing the weight of the thumb. They are still standing. Marked, yes. Dripping at the edges, yes. Still standing. This collection began with a single drawing. I fed it into Midjourney to see what it might become, what variations could emerge from one original design. From the outputs I selected the pieces that resonated, then returned to them by hand, correcting, redrawing, finishing. What you see is the result of three things in conversation: traditional art, digital art, and AI.
