Beneath the Print

Pressed down to a pattern, ridges worn into record. A red line runs through it all, bleeding quiet into the dark. Three lines below, horizontal, still. They were here before. One eye remains open. It sees what was done. It has always seen. This collection began with a single drawing. I fed it into Midjourney to see what it might become, what variations could emerge from one original mark. From the outputs I selected the pieces that resonated, then returned to them by hand, correcting, redrawing, finishing. What you see is the result of three things in conversation: traditional art, digital art, and AI.
