Suffer in Silence

This piece reflects the quiet suffering and unseen weight carried by those who live with fibromyalgia. Through the figure’s fragile yet ethereal presence, I wanted to portray the haunting beauty found within pain — where the body becomes both a vessel and a battleground. Fibromyalgia manifests in me as dizziness, throbbing pain, stiffness, memory loss, depression, and overwhelming fatigue. It strips away mobility, clarity, and sometimes even identity. Each day feels like moving through fog — a haze that blurs reality and bends perception. In this work, the flowers and textures bloom around her like fragments of decay and renewal, echoing the duality of creation and deterioration. The softness of her skin contrasts the invisible agony beneath it — a reminder that beauty and pain often coexist in the same space. This condition deeply affects my art and career. There are moments when I cannot move, when exhaustion steals entire days, and the act of creating becomes both my cure and my curse. Yet, through this piece, I wanted to reclaim that fragility and transform it into something eternal — a visual confession of endurance. “I Suffer in Silence” is a reflection of what it means to survive in stillness — to find light through the cracks of suffering and to turn pain into a form of sacred art.
