Twin Sea Urchins Two mirrored sea urchins spiked and solitary by nature — but urchins choose to gather when it matters: for safety, for food, for continuation. Their hard, spiny shells guard something delicate within — protection and vulnerability held together, the resilience to navigate difficult waters without losing a soft, authentic inner self. In the right balance, sea urchins sustain entire ecosystems; in excess, that same nature can overwhelm them — the same duality held quietly within calm, sometimes chaotic. Shapes I used: Lavender field with bees I associated lavender with the bumble bee and found out bees tell each other where they can feed by doing a “waggle dance”. A field of lavender is a gathering point, a place for the bees to feast on. Bee Bees aren't just "pretty pollinators," they're a quiet, essential force holding a much larger system together. A bee is like a small heroine. Ribs with a bee inside The bee is held within the ribs, protected. Thread traced around the ribs (I ended up just using a piece) A line passed down like tradition itself — ancestry and culture (recipes), carried forward hand to hand, mouth to mouth to the next generation.
