Hang in there!

In the Netherlands we have a saying, we hang something on the Willows. Who hangs something on the willows, stops something. Skaters hang their skates on the willows, surgeons their scalpel, cooks their pans and painters their brushes. In all these cases, it means that they stop their profession or hobby. Here someone literally hung the mouth mask on the Willows. As if it was said, I'm done with it, I don't wear it anymore! For me it symbolizes the period with Covid-19, which has caused all of us misery.
