Chimpanzee
The chimpanzee is the eleventh piece from the Lighten up after the dark animals collection and there is only 1. That's why it is minted on the Lighten up after the dark ERC721 contract. So it is unique! The chimpanzee is found in equatorial forests in Central and West Africa. It is a large, strong ape with a stocky physique. They mainly live in open forests and rainforests, but can also be found in montane forests and forest savannas. Chimpanzees live in small, loose groups of varying composition, usually consisting of six to ten monkeys, but ranging from two to as many as one hundred and twenty animals. The group has a large territory, which is defended by both sexes. The males often fight power issues among themselves, which is accompanied by a lot of screaming and macho behavior. A young chimpanzee sits on its mother's back. After six months they are already independent. A chimpanzee cub is fully mature and independent from its mother at around 12 years of age. However, the bond between mother and child is often lifelong. The chimpanzee is mainly active early in the morning and in the afternoon, in the heat of the day it rests. It spends a lot of time on the ground, but also regularly climbs trees to find food and sleep. In the tree he sleeps in a self-made sleeping nest of leaves and branches, which he builds at the end of the evening. He usually walks on all fours, using the soles of the feet and the knuckles of the hands to propel himself. It can also walk on its hind legs, but only for short distances. Walking on two legs usually occurs when the front legs are already used for something else, such as carrying food or objects. With his powerful arms he can swing from branch to branch in a tree. Because of their evolutionary close relationship to humans, they are often used for medical and behavioral testing, although this has been done less recently and has been banned in several countries. The behavior of a chimpanzee is also very similar to that of a human. Chimpanzees are unable to talk. They do use a large number of sounds with clearly distinguishable meanings. While no animal has the same linguistic abilities as humans, chimpanzees can be trained to understand language-like symbols. For the Lighten up after the dark (animals) collection I have up lighted the nature photos, giving them a different twist. They light up from the dark. A beautiful effect.
