100% goes to Wings of Hope/Friends of SJF Pierre is resident at Wings of Hope in Haiti. Wings of Hope is a home for children and adults with physical and mental challenges. Pierre is a young man with a lot of self-confidence. He is has Down Syndrome. Pierre loves to help others. Art has always been an essential way to show the residents the beauty of their country. And encouraging the residents to become artists themselves is a way to foster self-confidence in them. One of the art classes at Wings of Hope is a photography class. By learning to use a camera and exploring their world, the young photographers give an insight on life through their eyes. Seeing beauty in your culture and being able to add to that beauty with your talent and passion are important lessons learned by those served by Wings of Hope.
