The Blue Pilgrim

by LeslieASpurlock

Across the dunes that burn like fallen suns, where shadow carves its dark and curving seams into the fire-red flesh of ancient sand, one figure moves through ochre-tinted dreams. The desert keeps no record of your name— only the brief impression of your heel, already smoothed by wind's indifferent hand, erased before the next long breath can steal. What brings you, robed in sky, to walk this sea of scorched and silent, undulating flame? The dunes have swallowed whole a thousand years of wanderers who crossed and went the same. Yet still you move—a whisper dressed in blue, the only cool thing in this burning world, a pilgrim stitched against the red horizon, your cloak by desert wind half-furled. Go on. The Sahara does not ask your story. It only asks your footsteps, and your will— and when the orange tide of evening rises, whether you are walking, walking still. #objkt4objkt #objkt4objkt2026
