this is a depiction of me in the style of @dyanelaarts (x/twitter) paintings artificially made and manually turned into a collage, it's purpose is to express my understanding of my brain surgery through the process of taking a shower and examining my head, and there are multiple inferences of this from the brain drawing bottom right to the words "maybe i lied when i said i was okay" on the bottom left the words "it's dark without you" appear as individual letters at the top right to express the loneliness one can feel dealing with this there is a speech bubble to the left of that with the words "I hope I won't get tired of the sky, of long walks, of the lingering smell of coffee, and the calm of a rainy day." to express my love for the simple things in life. below this is my head with my scar and the depictions of me examining it slowly with the name of the artwork on my cheek "Faces are never ugly or beautiful, minds are." about my fear of losing the superficial appeal of looks on my back are the words "not dead yet" indicating my perseverance finally to the top left are the words i actually thought of that inspired this artwork displayed as printed on a crumpled paper taped to the artwork: "you don't realise the repercussions of a brain surgery until you take a shower and, while putting your hands through your hair softly so that you don't hurt yourself. you feel that the shape of your head has changed :'("
