the last woman I was romantically involved with was a painful experience, it's been many years but being diagnosed with schizophrenia it's doubtful i would end up marrying anyone and having kids the title is like the words written 'we trace tomorrow in our discreetly separated hands' signifying the separate tomorrows i will trace from others, a knot i carry in my conscience and shown visually as the string making its way around the words and my hands the words 'in our' are projected onto my hand from an overhead projector it's from another poem that was being projected into a space and i put my hands in front of the projected words and took a picture, this was years ago from an art display at the kochi biennale, i used it to make this artwork by editing it in post the artwork is designed to look like a folded page from a notebook, the string implies a connection between me and the viewer or perhaps me and my younger self who had different expectations of my future, or as i mentioned between me and the separate tomorrows i will trace from others
