We search for Claude, but all we find is absence. His true presence is to be nowhere and everywhere at once. Claude becomes a symbol of what cannot be held: memory, a person, a fleeting moment. Everything eternal turns into a burned trace, and the void outlives the image itself. Looking for Claude is meaningless. He exists in the hole, in the crossed-out name, in the silence between words. Claude is the reflection of what we lose, and of what we vainly try to recover through art, memory, and symbols. Where is Claude?
