Urban Quiet
“The moon is a friend for the lonesome to talk to.” — Carl Sandburg One of those days another war alarm echoed through the city. I couldn't go far from home, had to stay close, ready to move quickly to the bomb shelter if the air-raid sirens started. It became opportunity for another small experiment. Photographing the moon is not something I usually do. I had planned a classic shot - the moon rising beyond a construction crane. I did everything required: checked locations, saved coordinates, calculated the angles. And when the moon finally appeared, I realized my calculations were wrong. The alignment I planned simply wasn't there. So, I had to improvise; and this frame is what I came home with that night. P.S. The air-raid alarm broke out just after I came back home.
