The Painter’s CurseFeatured
The painter worked, his brush tirelessly gliding across the canvas with precision. Each stroke brought the scene closer to perfection, and yet, as dawn broke, the first signs of something strange appeared. First, the sky outside turned gray, its life and color drained. Still, he continued. Another stroke, this time capturing the mountains with deliberate care. Almost immediately, the peaks outside dulled, their vibrancy stolen. As time went on, he painted more and more, and everything faded further. The lanterns dimmed. The streets lost texture. The windows went out one by one. The painter stared at his nearly completed masterpiece; the last traces of the village reflected in its strokes. Outside, the world was already half gone. He set the brush down, staring at the incomplete work, raw and imperfect. The painter sighed and shook his head. Had his imagination gone wild again?
