Infinity of loneliness

I increasingly see the loneliness of people who have lost their loved ones. This is the story of a man left alone on the edge of life. An old man sits at the foot of an endless staircase that goes up through the darkness of the universe. On this path, lit by the rare candles of memory, those he loves have gone forever: a son who died in the war, a wife who could not cope with grief, close friends. Their silhouettes dissolve in the emptiness, where only distant stars flicker, and an invisible force, embodied in the all-seeing eye, calls them forward.
