Fly agaric

In Slavic beliefs, the fly agaric is a special mushroom. It could protect against evil spirits or guide a person to the world of the dead. It was also a symbol of good luck and wealth. Moreover, it was also used by shamans to perform rituals and ceremonies. But in this drawing there is a story about something else. The peoples of Chukotka had a belief about fly agaric girls, beauties who lure hunters and foresters into the deep forests. Supernatural seductresses who tried to leave a man in the forest. And in fact, they were fly agarics.
