What Still Holds Me

this journey is about the invisible knots between the soul and life. Not every knot is something that traps us. Some knots are the reason we stay. There are days when hope feels far away, when everything inside us feels loose, tired, or almost ready to let go. And then, sometimes, one small thing ties us back to life again. Lighting a candle. Making a cup of tea. Opening a window. Touching color. Remembering someone. Creating something with our hands. These small acts can become quiet knots between us and hope. In this work, the layers of paint feel like those emotional knots soft, messy, unfinished, and deeply human. Some parts feel heavy, some parts feel tender, and some parts are still trying to find their way through. This is not a knot you can physically untie. It is the kind of knot that lives inside us. The kind that holds our memories, our fears, our love, our pain, and our will to keep going. For me, this painting is about the fragile connections that keep us close to life, even on the days we feel far from it. Some knots hold us back. But some knots keep us here.
