Cyrus the Great

by tara__art

This is Iran, Pasargadae, the tomb of Cyrus. I took this picture during my trip to Pasargadae. Cyrus was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire. The Achaemenid Empire was the first and only kingdom that unified a large part of the world for over two centuries. Cyrus is remembered with respect in global societies and different religions because, during his wars and campaigns, he never resorted to killing and looting. He always encouraged people to: Good thoughts, good words, and good deeds. He is very valuable to us Iranians, and we are very proud of him.
