Solitude in Celebration
by Mitra✨_SGP
A quiet moment from a simple birthday; a place where she leans into her own reflection, asking the mirror, just as Forough Farrokhzad once whispered in her poem: ask the mirror the name of your savior, to reveal the one who rescues her. In this solitude, she realizes that the savior has always been herself, and she blows out the candle of her own presence in the stillness and silence of being. This is a physical artwork, created with pencil, colored pencil, and oil thinner on cardboard, followed by subtle color and light adjustments in Photoshop after photographing it.
