Sometimes, I catch myself thinking that the world is arranged far more quietly than we tend to believe. Not more silentโ€”just quieter, as if every object carries its own melody but chooses to play it only for those willing to listen. I watched a girl holding a glowing sphere today โ€” not a device, not an artefact, but something far simpler and far more perilous: a possibility. She sat on the cold grass, and the light around her behaved oddly โ€” it didnโ€™t disperse but circled her, as though searching for the right tempo. And I found myself thinking that the whole scene resembled a lullaby someone once wrote not for children, but for the Universe itself, to soothe its nocturnal fears. The girl said nothing. Yet it was evident she heard the music hidden in the crystal heart of that sphere. She heard it โ€” and answered with a silence so pure it made me slightly uneasy. Perhaps this is how futures are born: not in laboratories, nor in towers of glass, but in the soft rustle of grass when fragile hands hold what grown minds dare not touch. And, I suppose, I understood something for the first time: every lullaby is never really about sleep. It is about hope โ€” the hope with which the world gently rocks itself through the dark.
