Eshgh
by Homa Vasiee
This piece portrays Eshgh (عشق)—the Persian word for love—not merely as an emotion, but as an entire world: a boundless, intricate, and ever-expanding realm. The swirling motions around the center evoke a sense of pull and immersion, as if the viewer is being drawn into a domain where time and logic lose their meaning. Here, love is more than emotion—it’s a realm of endless beauty and complexity. Each spiral pulls the viewer deeper, into a space between light and dark, chaos and calm. In this work, love is envisioned as an infinite realm—one that invites the viewer not just to see, but to be completely immersed within it. Ink and gouache on paper.
