Sally Horowitz de Morgenstern
by Aaron Sosa
She was born on May 31, 1940 in Kitzman, Romania. He was barely one year old when the family was taken to several concentration camps: Mogilev, Martinovca, Djurin and Stepanovka. He endured numerous hardships and illnesses that did not cease after liberation. In 1945 she returned to her native country and when she was reunited with her father, after four years of separation, they had to flee to France and then to Venezuela in 1947. In Venezuela, after a difficult adaptation, she managed to find peace and forge a family together with Freddy Morgenstern. Testimony: "I want to thank all of Humanity and every human being with whom I have had contact, because in one way or another they have enriched me. Every person I come into contact with has given me something, and that is what gives me the fullness of life". Caracas - Venezuela 2010 aaronsosa.eth.co www.aaronsosaphotography.com Digital Photography Size: 5000 x 3321px 300 DPI About this project: In the history of mankind there can be found no other crime so heinous, nor so coldly calculated, as the one that as that which annihilated millions of human beings in the Nazi concentration camps. This project has allowed me to enter for a brief moment into the lives of an important group of these exiles and survivors, who arrived in Latin American lands many years ago to start a new life; and who have given me the honor of knowing a little about them and their experiences, as well as to photograph them and immortalize them through photography. So far in minting this collection I have been able to portray 58 survivors: 20 from Venezuela 25 from Uruguay 13 from Argentina The first part of the survivors that arrived in Venezuela were minted as 1/1 NFTs on the ETH blockchain. I have decided to make the survivors that arrived in Uruguay available in editions of 50 on the Tezos blockchain and the survivors from Argentina will be minted later. My intention with the sale of the NFTs is to self-finance the project to give it continuity. Soon I must travel to Chile where there are 13 survivors waiting to be portrayed and then continue moving around Latin America to continue with the project. Another of the main objectives is to finance the printing of a book that gathers all the portraits, biographies and testimonies of each survivor.
