Against the current

The current is an everyday fuss. One day, she consumed me, erasing nuances, shades, faces, and memories. This is what prevented me from reaching the depths, taking me further and further away, at the same time keeping me on the surface of existence. And then I thought, "Spit me out onto the shore or drag me to the very bottom, I can't wallow in this puddle anymore." They say that the universe always hits where it's thin. And unfortunately, it is only after the blow, after this painful realization, that we are able to find the strength to make one last push to break out of this flow and allow ourselves to find other ways. Maybe even swim against the current? One day I needed that leap. That's why now I've started to watch the sunrise and sunset more often, the moon's journey across the sky, and the beating of my heart.
